Key/Remote Replacement

Dominion Automobile Association (2004) Limited will pay for the cost of replacement for a key/remote for a covered vehicle, up to the benefit limit as described in your agreement.

To make a claim:

  • 1. Contact one of our claims professionals at 1-866-683-0475 (local 519-434-1068) Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST
  • 2. Information will be taken and you will be issued a claim number.
  • 3. Take the Proof of Loss form and any other key/remotes that were issued at the time you purchased your vehicle to an authorized dealer for your vehicle type:
  • a. If you the member are within 25 miles of the original selling dealership, you must return to that dealership for key replacement. In the event that you return to the originating dealership, you will only be responsible for any costs in excess of your coverage limit ($400 for Plan 1 vehicles; $800 for Plan 2 vehicles). You must present any damaged key(s) to the originating dealership at the time of replacement. The originating dealership will be issued payment upon receipt of a copy of the dealer’s work order.
  • b. If you are more than 25 miles from the original selling dealer, you may go to any appropriate franchised dealership for service; however, the following special conditions will apply:
  • • Call DAA for authorization prior to the replacement of the key(s).
  • • Complete and sign the Proof of Loss form obtained from this website or from the claims representative.
  • • You must pay for the replacement key(s) and return the completed Proof of Loss form, the ORIGINAL paid receipt and any damaged key(s) to DAA for reimbursement up to the coverage limit of your plan.
